Microsoft Office 2008 includes Microsoft Word 2008, Excel 2008, PowerPoint 2008, and Entourage 2008 for Mac. It also includes three user licenses for consumers and students, but does not include connectivity to Microsoft Exchange Server or Office-specific Automator Actions. Other versions available: Office 2008 for Mac for $400 for the full version or $240 for upgrade; and Office 2008 for Mac Special Edition for $500 for the full version or $300 for the upgrade. All versions include the following features: Universal application - runs on both Power PC and Intel Macs; Open XML File formats - compatibility with Windows-based 2007 Microsoft Office system products; Elements Gallery - offers easy access to the most commonly used tools and templates; Office Art - provides cross-platform file fidelity and easy access to visual and graphic effects; Themes - allows you to easily apply a complete set of colors,fonts and effects to your Office 2008 documents; Automator Actions for Workflow - new feature to help you automate Office 2008 with more than 70 predefined Actions built to simplify work and extend productivity. For example, a workflow in Word converts text to audio and sends the audio to an iPod; Help Viewer - new online Help tool with continually updated content; Toolbox - provides instant access to formatting and expanded content including Object Palette, Animation Settings, and Formula Builder; and Save to PDF - available directly from your Save As dialog box on the File menu in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
