This visual search engine is is designed to provide a more visual alternative to Google. Search results appear as fanned out thumbnail images of Web pages. Children can scroll through the results, and click an image to jump to that page. The PR materials claims that the results are carefully tested, a claim we did not test. We did type the word "sex" into the search window, and received an error message, indicating that there's not much subtlety to the method in which RedZee finds its sites. In addition, when you click on a thumbnail, you're taken to the home page of the site, and not the page inside the site; a detail that can quickly send you back to Google. RedZee is certainly an innovative approach to searching and is worth keeping an eye on.
