Dora the Explorer: Dora Saves the Mermaids
© 2008 2K Play
This isn't the best Dora or Diego game, but also is certainly not the worst either. It combines a fail-free explore-and-collect format with a clear goal (save the mermaids), but is shallow in content and educational value. There's a bit of sorting with a few Spanish words and that's it.This PS2 version follows the same story as the DS version, obviously without the touch screen. Children explore five seaside environments using the direction keys or analog stick on the PS2 controller collect, sort, swing on vines, jump on logs to cross rivers and ride on a dolphin; all in order to collect jewels that will hep Dora and Boots bring a magic crown to Marianna the Mermaid. Developed by Totally Games for 2K Play. If you have a preschooler and a PS2 under the same roof, this is a solid consideration.
