Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law
© 2008 Capcom Entertainment Inc.
Funny and packed with reading but light in content, this title is based on the animated Adult Swim TV show. You're tossed into the courtroom as super-hero-turned-defense-attorney Harvey Birdman (a human form with wings).,Like the Ace Attorney series, characters cross-examine witnesses in court, pressing them for more testimony and presenting evidence to reveal the truth. This process requires reading dialog boxes, at least on the PS2 version. Players can search crime scenes for evidence. Our tester noted that the humor in the game is "amazing," with "writing at least as good as on the TV show with the added pleasure of being able to choose some of the lines."Unfortunately the title is short on content and replay value, especially when compared to Phoneix Wright. The cases are short, and we estimate that there are about six hours of content. Rent it or borrow it; but don't buy it unless your teen is a diehard fan of the series.
