CTR Review

One of a series of six graphic novels (aka comic books) this disk tells the reader about Jackie Robinson and his pro baseball career through comic frames and narration. The narration is real and fun, and the graphics are interesting. Together, they will hold a child to the end of the story. The only drawback is that there are no interactive features, other than the table of contents. The program runs in Flash player and requires no installation on current Macintosh or Windows computers. Other titles in the Capstone Graphic Novel library include George Washington, Helen Keller, the Boston Tea Party, Salem Witch Trials and the Sinking of the Titanic. Note: we choose not to rate these books with our rating scale because the formats are not really interactive.
