Like the 2005 edition of Dance Praise, this second edition of Dance Praise is easy to use and fun to play, nicely capturing the spirit of Dance Dance Revolution (the popular dance-mat title from Konami). The only difference? Instead of U2, you get Christian rock groups like ZOEgirl. After the software is installed and the pad is plugged into the USB port of your computer, the music starts, showing the dance steps on the screen (moving from top to bottom), along with your score and the words to the songs. It is possible to have as many as four dance pads plugged into the same computer, although only one is included in the $50 kit. This makes the game well-suited for church youth groups using a computer projector. Note, however, that you'll need to have four free USB ports if you plan on using a laptop. Also note that PS2 and Xbox pads will not work with this title -- you'll need pads that work with Windows. Content includes 50 songs, four custom-made steps and 200 possible dances. Players can choose either random or computer generated steps for each song. In addition, a customized playlist lets dancers select, organize, and dance to their favorite songs. Other content includes an arcade-style Tetris stepping game, a revised exercise mode with improved record keeping, and a super-easy level for younger children (or older adults). The price includes one dance pad. The game is $30 w/out the pad; additional Dance Praise pads are $35.
