There are two versions of this game, Digimon World: Dawn and Digmon World: Dusk, released simultaneously for the the Nintendo DS. In Dusk, an earthquake with unknown life energy has struck the Digital World and damaged the town. Players take control of a Tamer from the elite Night Crow team of Dark Moon district and must discover what caused the incident and restore the city. The game features 400 Digimon from eight species that can be tamed and trained. Of course, each game contains some unique and rare Digimon, and these can only be obtained through wireless communication with the other versions of the game -- obviously a good way to increase sales, following Pokémon's lead. Both versions contain a world map, which shows you where you've been, and where you are now. The maps also show information on each dungeon, including what items and Digimon are available. Players can raise, train and evolve their new Digimon at the Digifarm, and while there can chat with their Digimon, install or remove features, or battle another player using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Jon Gick, our 18-year-old tester said, "I have been a fan of the Digimon franchise since the first little toys and have always been impressed with how it is still able to grow so much despite being towered over by Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh. This being said about Digimon, the version I tested is an awesome Monster Collecting RPG experience. In recent years a lot of companies have put out Monster Collecting RPGs, but the people at Bandai seem to have a firm grasp on this idea. This is a fun game and deserves to be marked up there with its Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh rivals." Developed by BEC for Namco Bandai.
