Teaches: a musical toy

The Fall 2007 version of i-Dog includes stereo speakers, and works with any audio player with a headphone jack, such as an MP3 player, an iPod or a CD-player. i-Dog's head bobs, ears move, tail wags, and a paw taps to the music. The tail controls the volume—move up to raise volume and down to lower it. Audio sensors let the dog react to external sounds with movement and flashing LEDs. A life simulation mode uses the LED colors to indicate the current mood of the dog. You can turn the dog off by holding the nose for two seconds; a process that is well hidden. After an hour, the dog hybernates and stops listening in order to save the 3 AA batteries.
