Based on the television show complete with the voice of Jeff Foxworthy, this game lets you compete as a contestant in the show, to answer up to 11 questions to win one million virtual dollars. The game features 28 subjects from grade school textbooks, and approximately 3,000 questions arranged by school subjects and grades, that are presented in a fashion similar to "Who Want's to be a Millionaire" (with easiest questions first). As in the TV show, players can choose to receive help from one of their five classmates and use "Peek" and "Copy" cheats to help them advance to the next round. If a player cannot answer all 11 questions correctly, they must admit they are "not smarter than a 5th grader". Testers found the graphics to be blocky, and "there's no shortage of demeaning, snide remarks" of the variety that could bring back some elementary school nightmares. The reality is that many of the questions are taken out of context or are written in a misleading way. So while that makes the game more fun for adults, the content is not representative of an actual elementary school curriculum. If you like general trivia games and are a fan of the show, you may find that this is interesting; otherwise pass. A Nintendo DS version ($30) is scheduled for release in the fall and versions for PS2 and the Nintendo Wii are slated for release in 2008.
