Mega Man Star Force: Pegasus
© 2007 Capcom Entertainment, Inc.
This is a fun, fast-paced fighting game with no worrisome content. Note that there are three titles with the Mega Man Star Force brand, each with slightly different content, but similar game play. We recommend getting just one of the three -- you can take your pick because they are so similar. The spiritual successor to the MegaMan Battle Network series, this title uses a similar RPG-style feature with battle grid and card-based attacks that have been upgraded to 3D.You play as Geo Stelar, a 5th grade boy who must combine with the alien Omega-Xis to form Mega Man, then use his new powers to fight against the bad guys. A wireless multiplayer option is available. The storyline, while interesting, is clearly aimed at an elementary school audience and will appeal to some, but not others. If your child likes the MegaMan Battle Network series, this is a good choice. Others should borrow it first.Note also that since we reviewed this title, a second in the series has come out (Mega Man Star Force 2) with an updated battle system.
