Peanuts: It's The BIG GAME, Charlie Brown
© 2007 Viva Media
For those who miss the good old days of the Peanuts Game featuring Charlie Brown, this simple baseball simulation does a nice job capturing the spirit of the series. As a game, however, it is limited—at least compared to any current console-based baseball game, such as the Backyard Sports series. Still, this particular game is easy to use, and mixes 10 mini-games with the baseball, allowing enough to do to keep things interesting. In the game, Charlie Brown needs five more players for his baseball team. He travels around the neighborhood trying to convince his friends to join by playing 10 mini-games. The puzzles are designed to teach the basics of baseball (pitching, batting, fielding, running bases, and managing). Once you have recruited all the players and completed the mini-games, you can play in the big game. As an interactive comic strip, this title is well worth the $20. As a baseball simulation, however, there are better designed titles.
