The Digital Music Player: Elmo's Rockin' Road Trip is a portable music player/book combination that blends the learning aspect of reading words to songs with music. Featuring a detachable music player, children choose songs by first turning the wheel on the player to display an icon that corresponds with another icon in the book and then pressing Play. Once playing, you can see the icon moving to the music. By pressing Shuffle, the book will randomly play three selected songs. Volume can be controlled. Some of the songs in this book are played with familiar tunes. Likewise, some of the words have been changed to include Elmo. All of the songs are sung by children and are clear enough to hear the words, allowing children to read along with the music. Included are three AAA batteries. The result is a nice extension of the printed book.
