Looking for a serious music editing tool? Designed for the professional, but priced for students and teachers, Sequel is designed to let you record, edit, mix and perform loops, instruments and effects, and then save the work in a variety of common formats. The large installation (6 GB) consists of 5000 loops, 600 ready-to-play instrument sounds and the same audio engine used by professional composers. Other features include a live performance mode for remixing/recombining songs on the fly.
