The "old gen" versions of the Harry Potter games, for PS2 and GameCube represent the most economical way to experience the essence of the latest Harry Potter adventure, minus some of the expensive graphical frosting in the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. Note that you're going to want to have a memory card, to save your progress. The essential features and content of the game seems identical, and the PS2 version of the game was in high demand by our testers. Said Jenna (12) "the controls are so familiar and easy to use." Other than the wizard themes, testers reported no worrisome content, and there's plenty of problem solving situations. The one drawback? This is a one weekend game in terms of content, so you may want to borrow it. It is also one player; a fact that is becoming more of a disadvantage lately. Prices are: PS3 & Xbox 360 - $60; Nintendo Wii - $50; PS2 & PSP - $40; and Nintendo DS & GBA and PC versions are $30.
