Many teachers from the 1990s will remember HyperStudio, the beloved creativity package from Roger Wagner Publishing. After a five-year period of corporate buyouts and mergers, the title has landed in the hands of Software Mackiev, who has purchased it from Sunburst. We're hopeful that teachers that have grown tired of teaching kids PowerPoint will have a new, more developmentally appropriate digital creativity option. This version runs in Windows and Macintosh computers (Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later, including Intel-based Macs) and it takes 700 MB of hard disk space. Roger Wagner is one of the earlier pioneers of educational software, founding Roger Wagner Publishing in 1978. The program is coming "late summer 2008" after over a year in delays.
