Developed by Ensemble Studios for Microsoft Games Studios, this is the third installment in the Age of Empires series. Players can command one of eight European powers (Spanish, British, French, Portuguese, Russian, Ottoman, German, and Dutch) trying to conquer the new World. Players can gain wealth and power for their country and colonize uncharted territory. Players work with the Native Americans and develop and customize their Home City. Players can also recover buried treasure from the Caribbean, hunt bison on the Great Plains, and compete for trade routes. Game modes include: Story-based Campaign; Single-player Skirmish; Random Map; and Online & LAN Multiplayer. An expansion pack is also available (see Age of Empires III: The War Chiefs).
