It happens in thousands of classrooms, every day. One or two children finish their work early and need an extra challenge. Digitz is the perfect solution for such an occasion. About the size of a dinner plate, this battery operated game contains five types of flash-card drills, where children can race to best their own times. Problems appear on the LCD screen and players enter their answers by pressing the paddles with LED numerals. The game includes a headphone jack and can be used with an AC adapter or three C batteries; neither are included. Content includes multiples (skip counting), memorization of facts, identifying factors, finding factor pairs, and sequencing. While it is a bit pricey for home use, for upper elementary settings, it works like a charm.
