Based on the movie, this game is available for three platforms, each with different features. The Nintendo DS and GBA versions are one-player adventures where you explore one of four areas (such as the Junkyard) playing either as Wilber or Charlotte. Each area has four levels to master, and progress is saved automatically. The design is like hundreds of other games, where you jump around and collect things. The DS version has 12 minigames; some with wireless game sharing abilities for up to four other players. These include several fun pen-based games, such as the the bejeweled-like Snacktime for Templeton, where you try to match patterns in food, or a spelling game where you find words hidden in Charlotte's web. The GBA version has a similar platform design, but just five games. Unfortunately, the controls for the DS and GBA version (for which the ratings apply) are too complex, which lowered the rating and left our testers feeling frustrated. For example, to get Wilber to jump over a fence, children must use simultaneous keystrokes. With better leveling, this could be a much better title. If you can get over the initial learning curve, there is a lot to explore. The Windows version is a very different experience, starting with a Nintendog's-like treatment of Wilber, where the goal is to give him the attention and food he needs in order to stay happy and healthy.
