Sol y viento is a beginning Spanish textbook along with an interactive CD-ROM and instructional DVD. The CD-ROM includes: activities and games to review the vocabulary and grammar presented in each lesson of the textbook; clips from the Sol y viento film with accompanying activities; interactive maps of the Spanish-speaking world; a glossary and verb charts, and a session tracking and grading feature. The 6 DVD set includes: an introduction to the Sol y viento film and tips on using the film and textbook together; pre- and post-viewing on-screen activities for the Prologo and all nine regular episodes of the Sol y viento film; a Special Features Disc that contains clips from the textbook to see and hear grammar in context; as well as the Director's Cut, which contains the full movie.
