Note: This program was renamed "Thinkin' Things: Galactic Brain Benders" in the Spring of 1999. Like the others in the Thinkin Things series, this set of five well designed activities with multiple levels, challenge children's logical thinking in new ways. Our favorite is Carving BLOX, a world where balls roll around on a virtual metal board that you can drill or shape, letting you experience concepts of inertia and gravity. Examples of some of the other activities include, an electronic boardgame, requiring that children follow attribute rules to fill in a grid of Fripples (little creatures). Kids also use their programming skills to move formations of marching bands, football players and cheerleaders. Each activity is unique, cleverly designed and challenging!
