With a look and feel that is a bit like last year's Polar Express console game, this single player 3D exploration adventure lets you explore the world of Willy Wonka. The game follows the movie storyline, showing scenes from the film between levels. The first job is to catch a blowing dollar bill through streets; jumping, smashing and throwing candy along the way. Most of the action happens in the factory, where children and a few Oompa-Loompas try to stop a gang of rotten children from ruining the factory. They repair complex machines, and explore a range of rooms. Some of the puzzles are complex and confusing for younger children, which is too bad given the audience for the film, and the in-game instructions are unclear, leaving a lot up to trial and error. But the first level is easy and for the most part the game is enjoyable; just make sure you are on hand to help younger children. Note that a differently designed GBA version with the same title is also available.
